Chairman’s Chat, April 2018

Hi all,

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break!

The CNW-IVC birthday party is almost upon us on the 14th. We’ve reached the ripe old age of 27. The party is open to current members, past members, prospective members and guests. Please RSVP to me by the 4th.

Our AGM is quickly approaching, we’ve provisionally booked it for the 2nd of May. At this meeting the current serving committee members step down and anyone interested in standing for a role let’s everyone know and we take a vote. I will be sending out the details of the roles over the coming weeks so if you’d like to contribute to the running of our club please keep an eye out. If you’d like more information on the roles please speak to a current member of the committee.

I hope to see as many of you at the party, and if you know any past members be sure to let them know they’re more than welcome!

Enjoy!

Rhian

Chairman’s Chat – March 2013

Hi everyone,

Well I’m back from my hols and down to business! February was great, with some big IVC nights out in Chester and some great films. As spring begins to show itself, do all get thinking of some new event ideas for the new season! It’s getting to the time where we’re keener to get out for the day and explore, rather than just stick to evening events inside in the warm! If you’re unsure about any ideas or how to go about hosting or organising them, chat to any of the committee for advice or pointers!

It will be the AGM next month and as ever I ask as many of you as possible to attend; it’s important you take the chance to have your say and give feedback on the year and the direction of the club!

This month I’m looking forward to Christine’s trip to Theatre Clwyd to see “Love Crime”, as the trailer we saw in Feb looked great! Also we have some birthday nights out, some outdoors stuff in Tarporley, Delamere and Ironbridge, and there’s an Easter pub crawl in the planning of epic proportions! Thanks as always to those contributing items to the programme; without you there’s no IVC!

Special mention for Leanne Salisbury who after months of planning and hard work, finally smashed her fundraising target with her fantastic Burlesque Evening last Friday. She now heads off to trek the Great Wall of China in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust later this month.
