Sinking, not Stirred

A group of James Bond body doubles and Bond Girls flew the flag for the Countess of Chester Hospital at this year’s 007 themed Chester Raft Race.

The budding secret agents and bond girls guided their raft – ‘Doctor Yes’ – into a very respectable 12th place, out of 38.

The race took place on Sunday 13th July and covered an 800 metre course starting from the Royal Chester Rowing Club and then heading downstream, over the weir.

The team, consisting of Alison, Alex, Ann & five other Countess staff, raised approximately £400 for the Special Care Baby Unit. They then capped off the day with a barbecue and a few cold drinks on the banks of the river while their soggy tuxedos dried.
