Another busy weekend of shopping: this weekend some of us went out to Tarporley to the First Wright Manley Xmas Fayre and auction.  We came back laden with cheeses, flowers, lots and lots of holly and a tree! It was quite a nice evnet, all the better for the free mulled wine to keep away the chill while we waited for our lots to come up.  We followed that by a trip to the Dysart arms to warm ourselves by their fire and for a spot of lunch:

Thanks this week go to Jo letting us all come round and enjoy her hospitality for another great house party.

The next event is the Panto so maybe I’ll see you there, oh yes I will!…

Well, that’s another busy month over and a new one started with a bang ;)

In addition to the usual badminton, dancing, cinema nights, meals and pub trips in the last couple of weeks we have been to the CAMRA beer festival in the Guildhall where we saw Mark Radcliffe on drums and tasted a selection of very nice ales, a few of us dressed up for the Halloween party at Bar Lounge where we had fun.  Since then after a comedy night in Mold on Thursday, a lot of us met up on the walls to watch the fireworks dispay over the Roodee on Saturday night before retreating from the cold to the Brewery Tap and The Cross Keys.

Just to say a big Thank You to the Committee for all their efforts in organising this event. I especially enjoyed the “Stripping the Willow” dance.

Some great costumes especially the naughty tarts amongst us and some very straight laced Vicars!

Thanks go to Tim for his special sermon, think you have missed your vocation in life Tim… lol

Regards,

Madam Alexandra ;^)
